CBSE Class 12 Maths exam 2016: Board sets up committee of subject experts
Amidst the uproar about the ‘IIT-standard’ class 12 boards mathematics question paper, the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has set up a committee of subject experts to look into the matter.
On Wednesday, March 16, the CBSE in a circular on its website said, “The feedback received from various stakeholders including students, subject teachers, examiners will be placed before the committee of subject experts and the board will take remedial measures before evaluation.”
The class 12 mathematics paper, held on March 14, had received a lot of flak from students, teachers and parents, as they felt that not only was the paper difficult and lengthy, its pattern was also a little changed. An online petition, started by a student from Guwahati, claiming leniency in evaluation of the maths paper has garnered 11000 signatures
Some students had even alleged that the paper was leaked but the board has rejected the claims.
