Pattern & Particular Tips for Tier 3 Descriptive Paper in SSC CGL 

The SSC CGL Tier III Paper is worth 100 marks.

  • The Essay will carry 50-60 marks
  • If there is both Letter/Application Writing as well Summary Writing, they will each carry 20-30 marks each.
  • If just one of these two are asked, expect the Letter/Application to be worth 40 marks.
  • It would be an offline exam based on pen and paper.
  • Duration of the paper will be 1 hour.
  • The topics would include Essay Writing (250- 300 Words)/ Summary/ Letter Writing.
  • The marks of this exam will be included in the preparation of Final Merit List.
