IBPS Clerk Mains Overall Analysis

  • Overall, the IBPS Clerk Mains 2015-16 exam was easy to moderate. A good number of attempts in the exam were 135-145.

IBPS Clerk Mains Reasoning Analysis: 

Overall, the Reasoning section was easy to moderate. A good number of attempts in the exam were 33-38.  Topics from which questions were asked:

  • Syllogism – 5
  • Coding-Decoding -5
  • Data Sufficiency – 3
  • Sitting Arrangement – 5
  • Puzzle – 5
  • Direction – 2
  • Inequalities – 5
  • Series -5
  • Miscellaneous – 5

IBPS Clerk Mains Numerical Ability Analysis:

Overall, the NA section was moderate and a good number of attempts in this section were 30-35. Topics from which questions were asked:

  • Arithmetic (Profit Loss, Time & work, Percentage, Age, etc.) – 15

IBPS Clerk Mains English Analysis:

English section was easiest and a well prepared candidate could attempt 33-38 questions. Topics from which the questions were asked:

  • Reading Comprehensions – 10
  • Rearrangement – 5
  • Cloze test – 10
  • Error Spotting – 5
  • Sentence Improvement – 5
  • Fill in the blanks(dual) – 5

IBPS Clerk Mains General Awareness Analysis:

  • Overall, the GA section was moderate and a well prepared candidate could attempt 25-30 questions.
  • Majority of Questions in this section were from Banking and Economic Affairs.
  • Other topics included currency, capitals, census, venues, sports, headquarters, abbreviations and awards etc.

IBPS Clerk Mains Computer Knowledge Analysis:

  • Overall, the CK section was easy and a well prepared candidate could attempt 30-35 questions in this section.
  • Topics from which the questions were asked: Software, Hardware, MS Office, Internet & Networking etc.
