The SSC has said that for now, the age limit of 18 to 27 years will stay. The new age limit of 20 to 30 years will be effective from the year 2017.

SSC CGL 2016: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notice regarding the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL), 2016, stating that the earlier change in age limit for the exam will take effect from the year 2017 only. The 2016 exam will carry the old age limit of 18 to 27 years.

The SSC has said that for now, the age limit of 18 to 27 years will stay. The new age limit of 20 to 30 years will be effective from the 2017 examination.ssc cgl limit for Age

So, the new age limit will be implemented from SSC 2017 examination only. All the other rules, regulations and contents of the corrigendum will remain the same.

The exam is conducted by the Department of Personnel Training on behalf of the Government of India for various government jobs.
